The SPH
Laboratory has a state of the art infrastructure equipped
with the latest fully automated equipment backed by well qualified
doctors and efficient technicians rendering 24 x 7 hours of
uninterrupted quality services.
The laboratory carries out regular internal and external quality
control to deliver the best possible results to the patients.
The Laboratory also has a tie up with RANDOX of the United Kingdom
for the Quality Assessment. The performance as evaluated at the
Randox Internal Quality Assurance (RIQAS) has been consistently
commendable.
The laboratory is engaged in screening for initial laboratory
evidence pointing towards evolving Dengue, Malaria, Meningitis and
HIV. Prompt reporting to the Clinicians and National Centre for
Disease Control has been responsible for appropriate therapeutic and
preventive measures. The role of laboratory in the recent Dengue,
Meningitis and Chikungunya outbreaks has been remarkable. The
laboratory is engaged in monitoring hospital environment including
operation theatres, intensive care wards and drinking water in use
in the kitchen and wards.
Dr. S.C. Arya has been
associated with Laboratory for more than seven years. He has had
extensive professional experience in India, Saudi Arabia, United
Kingdom, Burma and Indonesia. He serves as an independent member of
the Ethics Committee at the National Centre for Disease Control,
Delhi. His publications from the Laboratory have been more than a
hundred.
Dr. Nidhi Sharma has been in
this hospital for more than two years. She qualified in Medicine
from Agra and did MD in pathology at Bangalore Medical College,
Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. She has post
MD more than eight years of vast experience and her key areas of
interest are Cytopathology, Haematology and Clinical Pathology.
